ONCE I AM GRANTED HOW ARE PAYMENTS MADE
Once granted you will receive a letter from CRT showing your grant amount.
If you have oil or wood/propane, you can start requesting a delivery in November. You will call the automated system at 860-560-5800 and use your case# or SSA# for verification. You must stay on the line through completion of the call. The system will then say goodbye and hang up once complete.
If you have a utilty for heat: gas/electric, your grant amount will be sent directly to the vendor. Once you are approved, you will be qualified to get on the Matching Payment Program (MPP) with your vendor. Vendors usually get their payment in May or June each year.
If you are approved as a "heat included in the rent" applicant, you will receive your grant amount as a paper check in the mail in late spring when the program is winding down.
