Source to Sea Charter Oak Park Cleanup

Charter Oak Park Photo
The Town of Manchester is partnering with the Connecticut River Conservancy once again to hosting an annual Source to Sea Cleanup. This year, the cleanup will take place at Charter Oak Park where we will focus on cleaning up Hop Brook and the surrounding area. This space presents many different opportunities for collecting litter. Adventurous volunteers may wish to walk through the shallow waters to clean the brook and its adjacent banks. Others may choose to hike up and down the accessible parts of the stream banks. And for those looking for flat, easy footing, the playground, pavilion, tennis and basketball courts, fields, and parking lot are all great places to find litter.

Brook walkers should wear rain boots or waders. Hikers should wear appropriate footwear. Gloves, trash pickers, buckets, and water will be provided. T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Let’s show how much we love Manchester by keeping it green!
