Storm Water Retention Basin

The Town of Manchester’s Field Services Division will be performing routine maintenance on our stormwater retention basins. This work will take place in three phases:
  1. Inspections – This is the first phase of the process.
  2. Vegetation Management – If weather allows, this phase will follow the inspections.
  3. Sediment Control and Removal – The final phase will begin in the summer.
Field Services staff will access the retention basins through Town of Manchester right-of-ways, and any property owners affected will be contacted if necessary. These basins are essential to the town’s stormwater system, and this maintenance is a proactive effort to ensure they continue to function properly.

Work will be done during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
