We ask all consumers to be mindful of any unnecessary water usage in order to protect our water supplies for essential drinking and fire-fighting purposes.

ALL OPEN (OUTDOOR) BURNING (INCLUDING NORMALLY PERMISSABLE FIRE) IS PROHIBITED IN THE TOWN OF MANCHESTER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
A VIOLATION OF THIS ORDER MAY RESULT IN FINES AND/OR ARREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONNECTICUT GENERAL STATUTE § 23-48 “KINDLING FIRE IN THE OPEN”

In accordance with the Manchester opening burning policy, “Unauthorized open burning is kindled during a high or extreme forest fire alert period.”
