Oct. 31 Update: The outdoor burning ban for Manchester will remain in effect


ALL OPEN (OUTDOOR) BURNING (INCLUDING NORMALLY PERMISSABLE FIRE) IS PROHIBITED IN THE TOWN OF MANCHESTER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

A VIOLATION OF THIS ORDER MAY RESULT IN FINES AND/OR ARREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONNECTICUT GENERAL STATUTE § 23-48 “KINDLING FIRE IN THE OPEN”


*THE USE OF CONSUMER GRADE SPARKLERS AND FOUNTAINS ARE UNDER THIS BAN*

*Reminder Fireworks are illegal in the State of Connecticut. 

In accordance with the Manchester opening burning policy, “Unauthorized open burning is kindled during a high or extreme forest fire alert period.”

During this period of severe fire danger, we are asking all Manchester Residents to do your part in keeping our community safe.
