RENTERS REBATE - WHAT IS IT?
The Renter's Rebate program is a state of Connecticut program that offers a one time payment to seniors aged 65+ or disabled persons 18+ who paid rent and/or utilities in CT in the previous year and currently live in Connecticut.

Income limit guidelines for 2024:
Single $43,800
Married $53,400

HOW DOES THE REBATE WORK?
One you complete the application with the Town of Manchester: Senior, Adult & Family Services, the Office of Policy & Management, state of CT receives your application. Paper checks are then sent out between the end of October and the begining of November.
HOW CAN I APPLY?
We have several options to submit your application. You can call our office at 860-647-3096 and make an appointment or simply do a phone intake; at that time we will send you a signature sheet to complete and include a self addressed stamped envelope for you to return to our office which you can include the required documentation.

We also have a locked drop box that is at the back of the building, it is checked periodically throughout each week day. After you contact our office, you can leave your confidential documents with your contact information in an envelope and mark it "For Renter's Rebate".
PLEASE REMEMBER
If you move or change your mailing address before the Renter's Rebate checks are sent out at the end of October, please call our office to complete an address change as Renter's Rebate checks do not get forwarded through the mail. They will go back to the State of Connecticut, Office of Policy & Managment.
WHAT IF I MISS THE DEADLINE?
We may be able to file an extension of time for you if you had a Dr. appointment, Emergency room visit, Walk-In-Center or Hospital stay during the original filing period. Please call Senior, Adult & Family Services and ask to speak to Kim 860-647-3096.
