The Town of Manchester Department of Public Works, Engineering Division proposes the construction of concrete sidewalk on State Road 534 (Charter Oak Street) connecting to existing sidewalk and closing a gap in the sidewalk network as identified on the Town's Sidewalk and Curb Plan, adopted by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The project proposes installing concrete sidewalk on the north side of Charter Oak St between Virginia Rd and Autumn St. Other work to include ADA sidewalk ramps, relocation of catch basins, minor water main work, modification of pavement markings, traffic signing, erosion & sedimentation control, maintenance and protection of traffic, restoration of lawns and driveways and other appurtenance work.
This project is in part grant funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administered through the Manchester Community Development Program. Design and Construction Inspection by the Town of Manchester Engineering Division.
