Beginning Monday, September 23rd, access to and from the parking lot behind Town Hall will be from the new driveway located across from Linden Street and between Fire Station No. 2 and Trotter Street.
The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, is coming to Manchester, CT on September 19- 22 at Charter Oak Park and will be open 24 hours a day and free to the public. The Wall That Heals honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. “Elks Lodge 1893 is proud to bring The Wall That Heals back to our community,” said Gerry Gallo, Co-Chair, Elks1893 Wall That Heals 2024.
