Thanksgiving Day
Town of Manchester Offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29 for the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Trash will not be collected Thursday, and will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. The Manchester Public Libraries will close at 5PM on Wednesday Nov. 27 and be closed Nov. 28.
Runners clad in turkey suits and pilgrim costumes will join some of the world’s best athletes in a field expected to exceed 11,000 competitors at the 88th Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day. The annual 4.737-mile holiday run through Manchester’s central streets, which is regarded as one of America’s largest and most popular turkey trots, will start at 10 a.m. on Main Street in Manchester, in front of St James Church.
